Inline with my MA in Design for Health and Wellbeing, my recent projects have become more purpose-driven, research-led, and deeply rooted in listening to the consumer. My focus has shifted toward improving health and well-being, ensuring that every product, not just apparel, and space we create has a meaningful impact. Having had the privilege of working with global brands such as Reebok, JD Sports, and Pentland Brands to build my business, I now work globally, from Dubai to Ireland. These experiences have shaped my approach to design, allowing me to blend performance, functionality, and wellness into everyday products. Ongoing projects are centred around wellness, for example creating thoughtful sleepwear adopting purposeful fabrics to regulate heat, seams placed to avoid irritation, and restorative branding applications that align with calm and relaxation.
Passionate about user-driven initiatives and co-creating with communities to develop purposeful solutions, I recently worked on activewear specifically designed for women who know their strength, engaging directly with consumers to find solutions that empower movement. This is in line with my MA research highlighting the benefits of physical activity to support menopausal symptoms. Alongside this, another current project in Dubai involves co-creating activewear with modest communities to fulfil their unique needs. I enjoy working on projects that ensure design plays a role in supporting and empowering individuals, ultimately contributing to improved health outcomes.
I believe design has the power to shape our experiences and influence how we feel. By intentionally creating environments, products, and systems that support physical, mental, and emotional health, we can enhance daily life and foster lasting well-being. My design philosophy is centred on making wellbeing a priority by crafting products and spaces that promote health and happiness. I focus on innovating with purpose, creating solutions that go beyond function and truly support well-being. Design should encourage meaningful connections, whether through collaboration tools or community-driven spaces, and I’m committed to supporting and mentoring the MMU students, as a guest, to ensure wellness-centred design remains at the forefront.
Inspired by nature and movement, my focus remains on designing everyday wellness-driven products that seamlessly fit into people’s lives, from ergonomic clothing, other related wellness products and services to possible interactive digital platforms where products evolve overtime through user’s feedback. In essence the aim is to help individuals move, feel, and live better. In a world where remote work and digital connectivity continue to grow, rethinking global collaboration is essential, and I strive to create intuitive and inclusive virtual experiences that foster stronger connections.
At the end of the day, design is about people. It’s about making life better, healthier, and more fulfilling. I’m committed to using my practice to create solutions that truly matter, because when we design for well-being, we’re designing for improved health outcomes through considered design.
